Jessica Alba and Dane Cook will appear in Knoxville for the premiere of the new film “Good Luck, Chuck” on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
The R-rated romantic comedy is set for national release on Sept. 21.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 in Turkey Creek. The event will include a reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a stage presentation with Alba and Cook at 7:30 p.m. and a screening of the film at 8 p.m.
Only 300 tickets will be available for the event. Tickets will be $75 and will go on sale only at the Pinnacle 18 box office at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7.
The event will be the fifth annual premiere to benefit Variety – the Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee. The organization was founded in 2001 by Regal Cinemas and raises money for local agencies that benefit children.
The 2006 event, a premiere of “Talladega Nights” with star Will Ferrell in attendance, raised more than $260,000 for the organization.
The other Variety premieres were “Dukes of Hazzard,” “Walking Tall” and “Radio” — all of which included receptions with the stars of the films.
