While I was shocked that Jessica & Cash had gotten married on the quiet, I can understand the reasoning behind it — this also explains why I don’t post candid images of Jessica going about her ‘daily’ life.

Jessica Alba’s May 19 wedding to boyfriend Cash Warren might be one the most strategically sound decisions the actress has made in her career.

For starters, by marrying just after Ashlee Simpson’s May 17 nuptials to Pete Wentz, Alba was all but guaranteed a certain level of privacy — photographers and reporters were simply too distracted to pick up on any hints that Alba and Warren would be marrying.

On a publicity level, Alba’s courthouse wedding garnered her tremendous public respect, according to one industry insider. “If you’re going to get pregnant, then get married, this is the way to do it. On the same day that Jessica’s wedding was announced, people were hearing the early details about Ashlee’s wedding. They’re wondering whether she’s pregnant under that dress, while the Jessica Alba fans are just happy for her.”

Last post of the day! Jessica and Cash attended a new event Tuesday night; the first since they were married. Details about the event from Just Jared is posted below. Images shall be added a.s.a.p.!

Newly married couple Jessica Alba and Cash Warren step out Tuesday for the Celebration of Mentoring Awards and Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Both Cash and business pal Baron Davis (of NBA’s Golden State Warriors) were honored with the humanitarian award for producing the documentary Made in America about gang violence in L.A.

The pair also co-founded IBeatYou.com, a social networking competition site where users are encouraged to submit audio, pictures and video and compete with others to be voted the winner.

Another cover for Miss Alba! This time it is the June/July 2008 issue of ‘FitPregnancy’ — we shall try to get hold of the mag to add scans. In the meanwhile, you can either:

Yes, it’s true! They apparently tied the knot quietly on Monday; read on for the article from People.com

Mom-to-be Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have gotten married, PEOPLE confirms.

The couple quietly wed Monday, says her rep, Brad Cafarelli.

According to a source, they were married in the Beverly Hills courthouse’s ceremony room under an arch of green silk foliage and white flowers. They were casually dressed, with Alba wearing a long blue dress and her hair back in a ponytail.

“She looked happy but nervous,” the source says.

Warren, in a white shirt and brown pants, arrived with Alba at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, applied for a marriage license and waited about 40 minutes for the paperwork to be processed before a staff member from the courthouse married them, the source says.

Nobody else attended the wedding, the source adds.

Alba, 27, is expecting a daughter with Warren, 31, this summer. The couple met while filming Fantastic Four and were engaged last December.
